Hey guys, I'd really appreciate your input on this. I recently moved to Chester County, and I'm looking for a place to get my Jeep inspected. I live in Downingtown/Thorndale, If anyone goes to or works at a shop in my area that is known to be a good place that gets the job done quick (HOPEFULLY just inspection, I don't really take my Jeeps to mechanics for much else), that's what I'm looking for. Price isn't a huge concern, I am used to paying $75 for inspection and most places are cheaper than that. I just don't want someone who is going to nitpick and try to take advantage of me, as happened the last time I took my Toyota Corolla in for inspection and I ended up with a $600+ brake job that I had to completely re-do myself 3 weeks later. Thanks!

Downingtown Tire & Service has treated me well. Andy recommended them and I've been pleased. I've had three cars inspected there, including my MJ, and they have been very fair.

They are located across from Maxwells Hardware on 322 just south of Downingtown.

X2...
I have been taking both lifted Jeeps there for years, no major issues. You can tell Howard (he looks like Santa) that "Andy with the lifted Jeeps" sent you there.

jeep shop has been great to me so far, i oredered the wrong brakelines to do them my self, got half way done and then realized this, i took it to them and swapped lines and had them install the front, they only charged labor, so they took care of me

inspection/emmisions was a lil steep at like 92 but they were not nit picky other than my brake lines which were rusted to hell and back and i had lines at home to replace em since i knew they were horrible

Your about 1 min. from where Mr Simon lives... I am over in West Bradford, on the south side of Bus 30., about 15mins away.

Muddygp.... which old factory?

We may have to have a local D-town gathering one of these days.
