removeing clear from herc.

so long story short i clear coated the herculiner on the bottom of one of my new doors to see how it looks and it looks like $h!t lol

so now i want to take it off and not to sure how to go about it

i thought maybe some of the clear and base coat remover that autozone sells but i'm not sure if that will break down the herc too

i do have some left over herc so i guess worse case senerio i could just repaint over it

any sugestions are appricted

I think you're gonna have to strip the herculiner with a wire brush

What does it look like? I'd be interested to see. Haven't seen clear over herc yet.

id say you will have to strip it down and start over. use this method :explosion

dude you could either strip it down and paint over, or just hit it with a wire brush and paint over.
i just took some herc. off the other day.
i used a razor for most, then a wire brush on the drill.
then painted over it.

I used the duplicolor bedliner in a spray can http://www.duplicolor.com/products/truckbed.html

and then used the dulpicolor clear coat in a can. It looked GREAT!! for a year.. then then clear peeled off... don't know why... can anybody help?
