For anyone running 8 lug D44 front

I put an 8 lug D44 under my XJ along with a 14 bolt, today while out on the trails (see: atv paths) I seemed to have lost the wedge that holds the caliper to the caliper bracket. I spoke to my father today who used to and still does run old 78-79 F-250's. He said as long as he can remember he has always had problems with them popping out while on the trail/ in the mud.

Now, everything in/on this thing is brand new, so I can't see it being a weak spring in the wedge. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Surely there is an aftermarket setup that cures this problem, but after searching google, pirate, and anywhere else I could think of I have yet to find it.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.
