also.. are you guys aware of the legal issues surrounding "that trail" in RI?? and that alot of people actually consider it closed... it's best that you dont discuss it or plan it on this board..

its not difficult or hard stuff at all we are mostly going to meet and greet and theres some fun easy stuff to do...a couple of our rigs are either hurtin' or are partially built so we're not going for hardcore...it be cool if you came, bring ur buddys or just yourself...we just want to get a local M+G/trip going close so we can meet wrenching and wheeling buddies in the vacinity...anyones welcome to come but if your looking for difficult crazy stuff you wont find it in RI :D

Hey Phil! Saw you at the Mud Bog.. Its like where we went last time, but not as hardcore. Some spots are crazy though... Mostly rocks, and some hardcore ass mud!

i could show you guys a pretty cool legal trail that runs from voluntown CT to exeter RI

mud,water, rocks, and there is a rock garden.

Dont worry about it just come to meet up with us...Dont do anything crazy and you should be fine...i dont have rear recovery points just front hooks so im sort of in the same boat as you...and as Evan knows im patiently waiting to see if my tie rod, drag link, or trac bar is going to fall out so I wont be doing much either...my Jeep keeps making issues for itself and I can't afford to break my DD so i'll be going easy...

anyone interested that wants to go feel free to call me my number is 401-714-1203 names Andrew...I'd be happy to get to meet you, give u directions to the meeting place, or answer whatever questions you have..

Well, like said before. It isnt hardcore and a stocker can get through. There are paths around every hard obsticle in there.

For those of you who want to come, just show up for 11:00AM and we will be good. IF you need locations or anything, just PM me!

I am! Sam here, a few of you know me. But if anyone lives north of say route 6 then we can meet up at a spot closer to the trailhead.

pm me if you like. the warwick group will meet up with us around 11:45

about the terrain; some whoops (for the speed demon in you) a nice section of mud bog (chunky, 3-4 feet deep in places) sucked up some 33" swampers like a brick wall. Lots of body damage potential if you look for it.

but every obstacle has an easy way around it.

Yeah, makes my 31's look stock. he was nose-in in a parking lot near the marinas and couldn't see any lights.

Dan Grays green XJ is on 35" bfg mudterrains last I saw it but he mentioned something to me about getting new tires so I think he has 35" or 36" TSLs...its a green color not that dark armyish green color but the lighter one...he works over near the marina I believe and he lives in Middletown it could be his...no roof mounted lights....hes got a little bit of trail damage if thats the one your thinkin about...he shows no mercy to that thing...i love it :D

dude, i don't know exactly where your located, but if your closer to smithfield (the 6/11/06 run) then i can shave a bunch of miles off your trip.

Lets call the warwick group "group A" which will be meeting up with "group B" around 11:45-12. Much closer to the trailhead.

don't you worry. I knew about this trip before it was made into a thread.

group b is about 2 miles from the trailhead.

This trail system is actually partly in connecticuit as well as RI.

No I didnt find out the hard way but I know some one who did...and TheArsonist and I started this trip how did you hear about it before hand?

I'm coming from pawtucket which is right north or Providence and if the meet is in chepachet it's alot shorter for me if I could meet someone or group closer to where we are actually wheeling if not no big deal but I wold like to save some fuel.:attom:

funny you say that...my linkage is shot...looks like there might not be any 4wd for this boy tomorrow..unless I get under and shift it manually?? ouch don't even really know how to do it...

The people meeting in Chepatchet are meeting up at Cadys Restarunt. Its off Rt44 way into Chepatchet near Rt94. Its over there, you cant miss it!

Lilrhody, you can make it in 2wd MOST of the time, that is if you go around all the hard stuff anyways, we will just have you last so you wont spin tire and break our windshields!

Yeha, me and KTM are TIGHT LIEK WHOA! lol, nah, but we hang out a lot.

Sorry to all you guys, I had to take off, issues with my truck. It was bothering me, but new terminals and a good cleaning fixed the problem.

suffered no mechanical damages!!! shifting in to 4wd manually underneath hot, dripping muddy jeep isint that fun but it was worth it...

some nice dents and scratches though

just got them on about 10 minutes ago. need to trim a wee bit more in the rear, and bumpstop on both ends. but for now it's a badass mall crawler.

anyone want some 32" kumho muds?

early may is just when my group of buddies are planning on heading down there, and all our rigs would hopefully be ready.
