Transmission Control Unit location on 98?

Just finished makin a manual shifter box for the AW4 on my 98 with 7" lift. I cannot find the transmission controller unit that is discussed in the how-to. Is it under the hood on the 98 or behind the dash? :worship::::helpme:

I tore into the wiring so far and just cannot find this controller box.

Should be on the drivers side for the 98.
