He had an axle I wanted and he needed some rocker protection.
Did them out of 2x2x3/16 ST some 1x1x1/8 angle and some 3/16 plate.
Did a mock up of them on the jeep finished welding all togather he painted them up and mounted. Looks good I think.

This could be the start of a good winter project to get money for a locker and alloy shafts, and other toys for the jeep I'm sure. I've got a good “IN” on the material. They are close to the same setup I have on my rig. My set I had to cut up and redo I bought them from a guy on here and everything was off on them. All the arms from the rockers to the body were the same so they stuck out up at the front a bit with how the body tapers out. So I ended up cutting all that up and having to redo them. This set wasn't hard at all to do. The whole measure twice cut once wasn’t enough for me. I measured about 5 6 7…… times then cut. I had some 3/16 plate bent to a 45 with holes punched in them but the fronts I had to cut at the angle because he had control arm drop brackets and that would have lowered the fronts a bit and they wouldn’t have been flush up against them at that point. Having those holes punched at the shop was nice no having to spend an hour or so drilling holes.
Now we just need to go smack that sucker around on some rocks.

If they perform well, I might be placing an order! (if you're taking them that is...)

Mine have taken a beating with no problems and these are better then the set I made for my rig. I used a high lift on the front middle and back to lift the XJ with no problems at all. It's 3/16 wall so it's going to take a lot to mess them up.
I do plan on making more down the road, but for right now I have some projects I need to get done for my self then I'll move back to making those.

Would you manufacture some with added side steps?

I was going to for him like the set that's on mine but the pipe bender was at another guys house at the time and I forgot about them.
