Apparently, we must be very carefull when using brake cleaner....

Thanks for the info, I'll think twice about spraying metal down with BPC prior to welding.

Yes switch to the non-chlorinated brake cleaners. Its still poisonous but less lethal. Phosgene= Mustard Gas

they dont make brake cleaner with chlorine anymore... for that reason... therefore being less flammable....

still sucks though...

Yes they still do and I know the parts stores up here have both types next to each other from diff. brands. I use CRC. I used to buy the red can but now I buy the green.
