so i have to go in to work @ 0500 for a launch.
i have to bring the boy with me being that the school isnt open yet.
while there i get blind sided by some legal matters with one of my Marines.

the day D R A G S on so after dealing with the Master Gunnery Sgt all day i finally come home.

i fix the radio in my 88 (blown fuse) and then i decide to hook up my hydrogen experiment.
well one wire shorts and grounds out and burns. :flame:
:twak:dumb ass me.

well now old blue is running like crap. i look for melted vac lines, wires ect. nothing on the harness is cooked thank god.

blue seems like shes running very rich and the computer is confused as to what to do. over idle shes fine but at idle its surge and sputter. i dont know wtf he deal is.

so i step back from the ole girl and decide that ill deal with 'er tomorrow.

on to the 99. hop in key goes in and turns over.but no run.
i dont hear the fuel pump running.swap relays and nothing.

screw em both. roll the 99 outta the way open the garage and bring out the 2000. hook up the battery fires right up purrrrs like a dream.

this is just not my frickin day!

**end rant**

any words of wisdom for the no workie jeeps is appreciated.

That's a crappy day.

I started my day crappy too. I was putting on my pants this morning and didn't know there was a wasp in them. The little bastard stung me 3 times in the ankle.

When was the last time the 99 had the CPS replaced? I don't know if it's true or not, but I seem to remember reading that on the late model XJ sometimes when the CPS takes a crap the volt meter will read nothing with the ignition on, instead of the 12 volts it should read. Again, don't quote me on that...just something i'm about 80% sure I remembered reading at one point on here that made me say "huh...that's interesting..."

I CAN FIX ANYTHING!!!!!

so old blues major malfunction was the MAF sensor vavume line was melted. replaced it with scrap piece. worked great.

the big jeeps problem was a bad connection from the coil to the cap.

and i got the hydrogen thing hooked up and testing starts tomorrow
