Winters coming!

Well today before class I decided to go to the local ski shop and look at all the fancy new equipment...I remember my straight ugly ass skiis from when i was a kid and I am repeatidly shocked every year with the new technologies... I know a lot of you are the adventurous type so i wanted to make this poll to see whats more popular..

I love skiing... I tried riding one time and out of habit flipped my feet forward they way they would be if I was skiing and took a mega face plant on some nice unforgiving hard packed snow...havent done it sense I feel like i'd suck at it

yea, it's a lil hard at first...but after you go a few times, it's a lot of fun. The only part that i hate about it is when you get stuck on cross country runs at the big resorts, like killington vermont...that's no fun. But i feel that MOST, not all, but most skiers look down their nose at me :-\

Snowboarding. I've allready gone like a bunch of times. We take pickup trucks to the ice rink and load up the snow the zambonie drops behind the rink, drive it back to my friends house, unload, repeat until we have a decent run. We setup a box. Were all pretty hardcore into snowboarding.. we each have 4 season passes to different mountains and we go to them probobly 5-6 times a week. I'll post pics video later.

I sit in a tree (absolutly still), when it's so cold you hair gets stiff and starts breaking off, wind howling in one ear and out the other, extremisities completely numb, waiting for Bambi to stumble by, so I can ruin his day.
Gee aren't winter sports fun.

I can't wait for the snow! I'm a skiier at heart and love Taos Ski Valley. Boarding is fun, I just can't keep up with my friends if I'm not on skis.

Neither, I live in the Salt Lake valley and have never skied or snowboarded.

cant wait to get out to breck this year (breckenridge CO) great slopes there and some nice terrain parks. might hit up vail too.

Adapt to the conditions.. skiing for the hard pack and boarding for the powder. what about cross country skiing? When it is wtf kind of cold, I stay nice and warm cross country skiing.
