Cleaned NSS now I have a problem

I took my NSS off to clean it to correct a random no start and reverse lights. Both of those are corrected, now it is difficult to get the tranny into drive. Best way to describe it would be as you shift thru the gears each gear clicks, but when I put it in drive it only has like half a click and I kinda have to pull back on the shifter to get the tranny to engage drive. Could this be because of the NSS or is the shift linkage in need of adjustment?

Double check that the nut on the NSS is not too tight. It will bind if it is too tight and not shift correctly.

X2. Tightened mine too tight at first...

I backed the nut off a lil. It free'd up the shifter a little, but its only on there hand tight now. Gotta check it tomorrow maybe I didn't seat the nss all the way.

Probably isn't the shift linkage. Removing the NSS shouldn't change anything with the linkage.
