spring difference 35 vs 8.25

have an 89 with dana35 and Rusty's 3" full leafs, found a deal on 8.25 rear, but when looking at lift kits, they ask what the rear axle is. What's the difference? will the leafs work for both applications? searched but haven't found answer yet. thanks

Springs will work with both axles..... pad mounts are exactly the same.

They ask which axle you have so they send you the correct size u-bolts.

now that makes sense, I knew the ubolts were different, didn't think the spring mounts would be. thanks

yup springs the same. just the axle tube diameter is different, hence new u-bolt size.
