Ok I have a 27 Spline 8.25. I want to upgrade to a 29. What parts do I need?

29-spline carrier or full case locker, like a Detroit and of course, 29-spline axle shafts.
Oh yeah, axle bearings, since the shafts are larger in diameter.

Will that be expensive to do?

Expensive is a relative term. :)
A Detroit locker is about $500. Chro-mo shafts are about $200/pair. Installation would be about $200. And you may or may not want to re-gear at the same time. A ring and pinion set is about $200. A master install kit (which includes bearings) is about $85.
So that's about $1185, give or take.
Or you could just get a 29-spline carrier, stock 29-spline shafts, a lunchbox locker, and run the stock gears.

How much would stock 29 spline stuff run me?

Stock carrier. $65
Stock shafts $100 to $150 for two
Axle bearings $40 to $50
Install about $200
So you are looking at about $500 give or take.

think i recall someone saying the bearings are the same size since its c-clipped, and that all you need is a 29 spline lunchbox. if thats the case all youd need would be
shafts - 200
locker - 300
