so ive done a lot of offroading, but mostly with friends and never really had any new and thrilling experiences. today went up some slightly muddy tight trails with a group from college and i gotta say it was the most diverse group id ever been in, a GMC full size, 2000 wrangler on 31s, and a nissan 4x4 truck on 35s.

xj didnt even spin a tire, im on mildly agressive mud tires. only spot i got even close to being hung up on was on some deeeep ruts that were a little too deep for stock hieght but manageable.

the first trail we did was a hill climb- we pulled up to it, and i was wondering where the trail even was. suddenly the nissan on 35s jets into this rut and then up this hill, i took a step back and was like........uhm, THATS the trailhead? xj made it up and through no problem- truly to my surprise. I have become a much better offroad driver from building up experiences and probably could not have done it if it was like my 2nd or 3rd time out, but none the less i was surpised.

just wanted to say this has just reinforced my love for my jeep and the hobby and want to do so much more to it, just no money :(

ps the wrangler had the 4banger and 31s and snapped a d35 shaft on the hill climb....i couldnt beleive it, i hear about guys with 4.0s and 35sw on the d35s going on runs and not snapping all the time, i truly lost faith in that axle watching a little ass 4banger and 31s rip it to shreads, wtf.
thank god i at least have the 8.25
