So I picked up this rusted out xj knowing the floors were rotted out. So I started chopping out the floors and I have been wanting a small bed on the back. This is my first big fab job so I am learning a lot.

I like the look of it so far... but don't you think it will look like a mini hummer h2 sut?

Man first my buddies were like its gonna look like an avalanche, then it was a hummer. To be honest I dont really care. I want a small bed and I need the four door so I can take the kids wheeling. I severly underestimated the time it would take to get some of this done.

Thats almost exactly what I just finished doing a few months ago...Except I made the back window removable. For the tailgate Im waiting till I can get my hands on a commanche and am planning on cutting the back of the bed off and slappin it on the xj. I would post pics, but I am not a paying subscriber so dont think I can. Unless Im just stupid and cant figure it out...that possible too lol.

Well you just upload the image to a host site like photobucket.com. then post the image link and majic!

Heres what I did... Its still not finished, but I needed it back on the road. And be nice cuz its my first hack job EVER!!! Future things include borrowing a commanche bed and extending mine a little, touch up the fiberglass work on the removable back window, and finishing up the inside for speakers behind the rear seat.

Its always a work in progress isnt it... ;)

Pretty cool, I thought about using the rear hatch but didnt want that much angle and I wanted a slider window. Definatley enough room to put some speakers behind the seat though.

So here is what I have been up to, getting pretty tired of the lift sitting in the house. Got to finish the rockers and floors and get that on.

Pretty happy with it so far, the s10 slider window worked well.

Looks good!
