so went wheeling with my jeep and eat a starter. no worries i have extras.
i get the big girl to the car wash to do the clean and look over and while at the back of my jeep i hear wooomp. no idea what the hell it was untill i got to the window and saw my air bad had deployed. WTF!? well i got my son out and in to the breeze and the horn goes ape shit. so i pull the battery and yank fuses for the horn and both airbags. pop the clutch and she fires right up, but no i have no gauges. so i drive home all nice and easy and parked her. im wore out and tierd. any one have thoughts? i tossed this up in the OEM section.

body control module maybe..... maybe you should have an excorcism performed on it..
actually the hrn may have been a symptom of the airbag going, the airbag module is located underneath the center console, i'd trace the wires and see if theres a short that would be my first guess

Check the classifieds ... I know a few people are parting out Jeeps so you may be able to find one for cheap on there.

You need to get a scan tool and see if there is any codes in the airbag system. Al so check to see if any wires are pinched onr melted that would cause a deployment .
