C'mon, Bryan. If you don't get it done for JV, then you won't get it done to prerun some trails in you know where. Get with it, bro'.
Here's my list, and I'm going to get it done.
plate lower front, make tabs for grill
mount and wire lights
make tabs for radiator core support
replace PS pump and add cooler
install winch, solenoids, and pulley for line, and fairleads
weld all mounts on rear axle
install seats and seat belts, make mounting tabs for belts
weld up rear links
finish welding a few more cage joints
install dash, gauges, and switches
re-wire whole rig
mount/install air compressor
route and hook up air locker lines
install fuel pump and route fuel lines
run rear brake lines
air up front shock
install driveline
make exhaust
plate the cowl and top of dash
plate the rockers and rear of floor
build a t-case skid plate
Stuff I would like to do.
plate the sides of the dash and cowl
change lower front control arms
install limiting straps
install winch for front axle
paint.....even just primer
make, paint, and mount body panels
install back up and rock lights
So, you're single....no wife to take care of. What's your problem?? :looser:

He won't come help with my roof because he says he needs to work on his buggy but I would bet five bucks that all he has done all weekend is sit back, drink a beer and over analyze what needs to be done.
If he would put half the time doing what he "thinks" about he would have had it done before our spring trip in Moab. Which reminds me....another interesting thread. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78792

Well Ryan when I don’t know how to do some thing yes I like to figure out how to do it right so yes It does take me a long time to get some things done it's not like I‘m a master fabricator just trying to learn as much as I can through this whole process by some weird chance I decide to build one again it will be a lot less painless.
If that is lazy then yes I am lazy

Bryon, as of today mine is wired and it runs. The biggest things I have to do are replace the power steering pump and add a cooler, the rear brake lines, t-case skid, and something for the exhaust. The rest of the stuff is mostly details, like bolting in the seats and belts, airing up a shock, running the winch cable, etc. I still four good days of work to do to it, but I'm begining to see light at the end of the tunnel.

seems like you could drop the tank 6-8 inches easily which would still leave it fairly protected and lower the CG... also surprised to see you don't have the battery in back...

Yea I could have spent time to drop the tank... but all that subfloor is getting hacked out after a while. going to a plastic 15 gallon fuel cell to help with weight as well as clearance in the back. Going to remount the leaf springs and possibly go with different length springs. The battery is staying put until I get the rewiring job done. Then its time for a small SMALL battery in the VERY back. As well as a few other "goodies".

very nice Dave, but why not take the opportunity to move that weight to the back? Seems like that setup would transfer less shock-loading to the winch, but you could still run it like that from the back...

Bryon...you need to change that list around in order of priorities. The motor, steering, shocks and other things that will get it drivable should come first. Then worry about the small things like winch wires and stuff. If you can get it drivable it will go a long way to getting it done.
Also if you were smart you would work on the things that you know could let you down first. Get them out of the way.
It would suck to spend all week worrying about a brake line only to find out there is something fatal in the motor.

Not trying to sound harsh but it seems to me that so much could be worked on while you are figuring out motor issues. Charging shocks, replacing axleshafts, filling diffs with lube.
Instead its easier to complain about a petty little electrical problem which I bet turns into nothing.

lol that’s about all it would be worth with the full hydraulic steering you could even have some one pulling me with as many times I would have to turn the steering wheel I might get the tires to move an inch wouldn’t be a hard target to hit.
