i couldnt let my tuff country 3.5 inch lift go to the scrap pile with my old 89XJ. i searched the web for a new lift but couldnt find an application for the year 1984. it took about 6 hours to swap the lifts. i swapped the rear blocks, front springs and shocks. i couldnt get the 1 inch transfercase drop bracket off(i welded it in on the 89).i going to see if i can get one from tuff country. the new to me 1984 2.8 liter is rolling on bald 31x11.5x16's. it pulls really badly to the right. i'm going to get it in to the alignment shop soon. that 2.8 sure dosnt like pushing those bigger tires!
