I have an 89 4.0 XJ, the fuel pump is getting LOUD the best way to descride it would be like a fog horn kinda like a HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. is this a bad pump or is there another problem?

Could be the fuel filter is restricted, could be the rubber fuel line from the pump to the tank outlet has deteriorated, could be the pump.
