She said yes!!
I asked her tonight right after I landed a nice salmon.

I'm engagged to be marred. :scared:
Thanks to everyone that gave me advice. I do appreciate it.

I think to celebrate I'm taking off Monday and Tuesday and gonna pound the Taylor River. If anyone is interested in catching some silly sized trout...yell.

That's awesome, congratulations. How exactly did you ask? Anything off the wall, like putting the ring on a hook in that salmon's mouth and saying "you would not believe what I caught this one on", or was it more of a kneel down in the river and propose type of thing?

With regard to the actual proposal...
I wanted to land a nice trout and then ask her but we weren't there all that long. So I just started looking for salmon. After landing several, I finally took a swig of Knob Creek and told her I wanted a pic of the next one after it was in the net. When she was walking over I slipped the ring into the net. I grabbed the fish and then asked her to take the net. I was kneeling when she took the pic. Then I revived the fish and asked her to look in the net for a fly that I was missing. I thought she had become aware that I was gonna ask her but she was completely surprised and speechless. It went pretty smoothly. After she was done crying, we watched the sun set over the divide. I didn't want to fish anymore after I asked b/c I was trying to be all romantic and stuff. :smootch: It was killing me though b/c there was some serious ackshawn goin on in the water. She did tell me she wanted me to catch one more before we headed home. I got sprung.

Here's a few pics of the big night. Every time I hooked a fish she would pop up and follow me to take pics. I finally told her to sit down and I'd let her know when I had a fish that I wanted a pic of. I couldn't pull ring box out of my vest and put it in the net with her following me around.

She spit coffee out while laughing hysterically. Then she looked me dead in the eye, straight faced and said.........where's it at? I got owned by her in that moment. :loveu: We both thought it was funny.
