Yes you heard me right. You too can have a free three link front suspension. All you have to do is put FOUR Rustys control arms on the front of your rig. Wheel it for a while and you will get a free three link front end.

This is an unlimited time offer. Rustys gave me my first three link while on a FIRE ROAD of all things last fall. They gave me two uppers and one lower. I tried to drive on it for a couple feet but it just didnt feel right, sorry Rusty but I appreciate the effort. I am sort of partial to the 4 link front end so I welded up the broken lower (no penetration on the original weld at the joint between the arm and chassis bushing).

Rustys just wont quit offering me the free three link upgrade to me though. Like I said its an unlimited time offer. Sometime over the last week Rustys snuck another 3 link front up under my rig. I heard a little rattle from the front end Friday so while changing the oil today I grabbed the upper on the driver side and guess what?

Yep thats right I now had a three link front suspension again. The driver side upper was broke. Now I have to say this is a much better suspension system that the first one Rusty gave me. It rode really nice and I would have never known anything was wrong if I hadnt heard the little rattle. Glad to help with the R&D there Rusty, looks like you have a great short arm 3 links system. However dont try and patent this one. XJRanger did this first so I think he holds rights to the idea.

The welder must have quenched the weld between the bushing sleeve and the arm. It was torn on ones side and cracked on the other.

A little Miller action set things to right. The welder, not the beer, you low lifes.

Since I have two more original Rusty's control arms under my rig I guess I am destined for at least two more free 3 link front suspensions.

You know the best part of this deal?

I was given these control arms by a "friend" who wheeled them for just one year and then went to long arms (home built). I didnt even have to pay for my three link urpgrade. I cant say enough abut having good friends and the great guys at Rustys, always looking out for the customer those dudes are.

I just installed 4 of Rusty's control arms and held up to some awesome abuse this past weekend. Maybe the welder that put them together got dumped that day or something :(

OEM control arms give you free 3-link sometimes too.

I think I would contact Rustys and explain the problem. Who knows, maybe he'll do something about it... Or at least check on his welding procedures so that no one else has this happen...
