just make sure you dont get the wrong brackets like I did, the 650 & 649 do not fit 84-96 xj's! only 97-02 xj's. get the 471 brackets for 84-96.

Odd, they have the year breakdowns wrong on their seat brackets entirely.

they finally shipped me the right brackets on the 3rd, still waiting for them to show up. He said he didn't really care if the year listings on the brackets were wrong, and said that was the information was from the manufacturer.

Every bit as nice as my corbeau baja suspesion seats, seem to be high quality not junk.
I did get the high backs, in tan. very close match to the Camel Tan xj interior.
I'm a little unsure about the seat padding, there seems to be padding between your legs that is meant to keep your ass all the way back in the seat by squishing your nuts if you sit too far forward. I think its removable, but I haven't messed with it yet, I'll know for sure when I get them mounted.

sorry for the wait, I wanted to get some pictures before I posted but i've got no camera and couldnt get a hold of one.
the seats are comfortable, but probably only as good as the higher end bolstered xj seats when they were new. the side bolstering is much less than my corbeau baja ss seats, resulting in an easy entry and exit. the width of the seats require them to be mounted higher than I would like to clear the transmission tunnel, and the rails almost touch on the drivers side but it clears. the range of adjustment is good, but I dont know if they would fit power bases. the brackets fit fine on basic slider only bases.
I always drove a little slouched with my old seats, and they were the seats with the non adjustable backs that were laid way back.
these seats pretty much make you sit all the way back to be comfortable. combine that with the little extra height and I have to be closer than I want to be to the steering wheel to be the distance that I'm used to being from the pedals. I'm 6' and sitting straight with my ass all the way back in the seat my head is a little less than an inch from the roof.
totally worth the cost if your seats are crap, comfy but take a couple days to get used to a different driving position. watch out if your tall
