it is a super rare phenomenon. So rare that if you google sonic boom and look at the pictures you see it everywhere, on a veriety of different aircraft ranging for a RAF Tornado to an F-15. So understudied that the day in class we had devoted to this phenomenon must have been completely made up since they did not have the data till now. I definatly do not see a very similar phenomenon when the Blue angles fly sudden heading changes at high rates of speed...

Fox news, great political coverage, a little slow on the science and tech stuff I have to say.

I didn't get the impression that they 'just caught on' to it. I saw it as an informative science piece. I'm sure there was someone out there who didn't know about it. ;)

I think you're over-analyzing it. :)

If you tell people they probably already know about it, they won't pay attention. Look at all the buzz about the Ho 229 lately. It's only what, 65 years old now?

I'm waiting for a conspiracy theory to come out about sonic booms... Hell people already think con-trails is the government gasing us so we don't reproduce. (If they are they obviously need a better gas :))

Fox never said it was rare... there not that stupid

There must not be alot of news going on to be pumping out old crap like this
