Bet that was awesome. Got to see Floyds "Division Bell" tour up in Vancouver back in 93 or 94...can't remember... course that was without Roger Waters.

125 BUCKS! Jeez, I hope it was a good show!

Good seats. GA was $40 something IIRC...

Great show. How often can you see/hear Roger playing Floyd??

I had a really good time in Vancouver.

Norcal, how would you compare his performance with original Floyd stuff?

*edit* Let's keep the references at a VERY minimum, please. ;)

Never saw the first or second version of Floyd live, so I can't really compare. I'll have to watch 'Pulse' to see how the rest of Floyd pulled off Dark Side w/o Roger.

I was bummed that Roger didn't sing as much as I'd hoped. Don't know if that's over a lawsuit w/ Gilmour, his voice, or what but the keyboardist (Jon Carin) and lead git (Dave Kilminster) were NOT Gilmour-esqe.

Also, I prefer the studio version of a song to a live version so the concert was more about seeing Roger perform his hits. The stage show was good, but the Key Arena ain't really big enough for a monster Floyd show. And yes, there was a flying :pig:

Sorry Ecksjay. I do not in any way endorse/use that stuff. Just trying to describe the environment.

I saw Floyd on the Pulse tour as well. They were awesome! Didn't miss Waters at all! I wouldn't mind going the Dark Side show though. Not coming anywhere close to home though.

At first I asked "Who is Roger Waters?".

I then noticed the outragous price for the ticket.

As many times as I have seen coolcal's screen name, as soon as I read "Dark Sign of the Moon", for the first time I noticed that 420.

I was at the Vancover show in '93 or '94, and can agree about the contact high. I dont smoke the stuff but there was a layer of smoke in the dome and the stuff was getting passed around all over. The funning thing is you were not aloud to smoke cigs in there but you could smoke the other stuff. Anyway, it was a great concert and experiance.
