zj discs on a xj44 conversion now some groove the rotors

converted the rear to zj disc's over the past 2 days.
the thing stops so much better, but the rotors are wearing in some grooves on the inside and outside of the rotor, almost all the way into the center of the rotor, or the outside of the pad on both sides.,
prob the junkyard rotors are bad?
or is this normal?

this is what ive got so far.
gonna go pull the rotors off right now.
my guess is there might be some metal shavings stuck in there or something of the sort?
