D44 Gets Hot

I installed a D44 in my 89. After driving it around, the right side drum is very hot to the touch, were as the left side is fine. The brake on the right side is adjusted all the back, but I did notice when putting the wheel on the drum spins very free but as I add lug nuts it starts to drag. The spindle or hub doesn't seem to be bent or warpped. Something else I might want to look for??

Thanks
Kenny

The drum it self has # 10.06 stamped on it, it also messures the same as the other side. But tonight I will double check that.

Im not sure if the drum is getting hot because of friction from the brakes but why would I want to adjust it out?
