Taking apart RC leaf springs

So, I just picked up a set of RC 4.5" leaf springs and I want to split the pack to add in another leaf. The leaf spring clamps on it have some sort of bolt going through the bottom leaf only and the bolt has a round head. I haven't looked anymore into than that, but wanted to see if anybody has taken these packs apart before and if there is some sort of trick to it.

do you want to add a leaf because they are saging?

no, the leaf pack is brand new. I want more lift out of them and I have RE add-a-leaf that I want to put in the pack and see if that gives it a little more.
